POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the accountant will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to capture and analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports. Salary $75k-$89k
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews and monitors OEM customers’ monthly inventory count.
- Works closely with warehouse, operations, and sales teams to analyze inventory count and investigates inventory discrepancies.
- Accounts for all sales rebate adjustments for the different OEM businesses, as well as update monthly pricing details to OEM customers.
- Tracks and analyzes inventory cost and margin, guides and supports planners with any finance questions.
- Prepares OEM’s related journal entries and participates in the month end close.
- Prepares monthly OEM related financial and customer profitability reports.
- Collaborates in the annual inventory count and financial audit.
- Back-ups the OEM team with various accounting and reporting projects.
GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create Advanced Excel formulas, as well as develop complex data extraction tools.
- Strong utilization of pivot tables and pivot charts.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-player and self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision, while managing and prioritizing conflicting deadlines.
- JDE, Insight/Hubble, and IBM Cognos experience a plus.
- Familiar with the technology sector.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business degree.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in an OEM or manufacturing environment with global operations.
- Cost Accounting or Inventory management experience a plus.
