JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
WORK SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:30p. This position has the option to be hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides reimbursement and financial support by preparing all cost reports and workpapers; completing and presenting financial analyses and reports as requested; completing payor accruals at month end; maintaining all system contract modeling, updating rates as all commercial payor contracts are renewed and governmental rates are released; and providing analyses to assist in managed care contract negotiations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hospital reimbursement (including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting experience) required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field preferred
- Experience with Epic and Strata preferred
- Proficiency in Health Financial Systems (HFS) cost reporting software preferred
- Experience in system reimbursement contract modeling a plus
- Current working knowledge of the financial statement process, running ad-hoc patient financial system and/or general ledger financial reports, and strong financial skills
- Solid computer and system skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and courteously
- Strong analytical/critical thinking and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all departments and levels of personnel
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to focus on detail and multi-task
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and maintains a professional and neat work environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
