Description
HealthComp is hiring an experienced Supervisor of Accounting Operations who will support and manage the internal day-to-day financial operations and perform accounting transactions related to group health plans.
If you are highly organized, detail oriented, with excellent time management skills and have at least 5 years of accounting experience as well as 3 years experience supervising teams, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your career with a leader in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounting documents for accuracy, clarity and compliance with company policy and procedures
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting staff
- Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports
- Assist in training accounting staff; cross train on all trust accounting functions
- Adhere to established internal control system
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Trust Accounting Manager
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- 5 years proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, or equivalent combined experience and education
- 3 years experience supervising or managing a team
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office; advanced Excel required
- Familiarity with GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
