SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, performs monthly account reconciliations, supervises AP/Administrative Specialist, performs variance analysis, and assists with monthly closing and preparation of the consolidated financial statements. Will also review standard costing, assist with the completion of government reports, and assist with the quarterly reviews and annual financial audit.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with monthly closing, including preparing and inputting journal entries and intercompany account reconciliations.
- Performs daily cash reconciliations and journal entry postings.
- Performs monthly account reconciliations and prepares supporting documentation and detail.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
- Conducts variance analysis on general ledger accounts and identifies and resolves discrepancies.
- Prepares certain local tax filings and state sales and use tax filings.
- Monitors capital projects, settles and posts monthly journal entries related to fixed assets and prepares month-end schedules, including running monthly depreciation.
- Supervises and oversees AP Specialist with all aspects of AP, support of local management and managing administrative office needs.
- Performs bi-monthly AP payment processing in SAP.
- Assists with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements.
- Supports Finance Manager with division and Corporate requirements.
- Plans, designs and implements changes to reporting methodologies to improve the speed and accuracy of the closing cycle.
- Committed to continued process improvement, business and system efficiencies.
- Assists with providing data for purposes of estimating and budgeting costs for research and products development, projecting costs of new processes, construction and tooling.
- Prepares quarterly and year-end audit schedules and assists and responds to audit inquiries.
- Assists in responding to government reports and prepares supporting schedules.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or 2-4 years’ experience in public accounting in an audit role.
- Advanced knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures.
- Consolidation experience preferred.
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
- Must be proficient with Excel; experience with SAP or large ERP system preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
The approximate base compensation range is shown below. The actual offer may vary based on skills, experience and location.
