Our organization is currently seeking a talented and service-oriented Junior Loan Officer. The successful candidate will have some experience in sales, exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities
- Communicate with the senior mortgage loan officer/MLO to make a recommendation of which mortgage loan products are best suited depending on applicant’s financial status
- Liaise between realtors, senior MLO/mortgage loan originator, underwriter, mortgage lenders or mortgage bankers, and loan processors on behalf of the applicant as needed to assure the loan transaction is successful
- Consult with potential loan applicants - answer questions and provide additional information about home loan products to create personal relationships
- Meet sales expectations, generate new business, get referrals, and monitor sales pipeline
- Collect financial information in order to prepare the loan file, assist applicants with loan applications, and assess applicants’ financial situation and eligibility
Qualifications
- Needs to have a current book of business, we can assist in training in this area
- Past experience with credit unions, lending institutions, real estate, financial services, or related fields is a bonus, but not required
- Willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/MLO/state license
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Excellent sales, relationship, communications and MS Office skills are vital
- Understanding of loan programs guidelines and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is helpful, but not required
Compensation
$70,500+ salary range
