At Dycom Industries, as a Driving Safety Analyst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the consistent execution of safe driving practices using state-of-the-art technology to train and coach our drivers. The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace through education of drivers to improve performance.
What you’ll do as a Driving Safety Analyst
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Coach drivers via remote technology and in-person on their driving behaviors
- Using a combination of our in-cab monitoring system and defensive driving techniques, coach field personnel to improve performance
- Monitor safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Provide classroom instruction to new and experienced drivers
- Provide in-the-car training and evaluations of drivers
- Ability to analyze data and determine trends to make recommendations
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Proven experience as a safety specialist or degree in related field
- Demonstrated passion and experience in driver training, evaluation, and ongoing coaching
- Must be comfortable with intervening/speaking up when unsafe acts or processes are observed
- Must be comfortable communicating with people in leadership positions
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to determine and explain which behaviors should be coached and recommend when action should be taken
Additional qualifications
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience using Google Suite of products
- Domestic travel is approximately 20% depending on business need
