The Employee Benefits Division is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, and is interested in working in a fast-paced insurance benefits environment. This position will serve as a Departmental Analyst performing a range of insurance benefit related transactions and communicating with State of Michigan retirees and employees about insurance benefits.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong desire to review HIPAA 834 insurance carrier files and respond to discrepancies.
- An ability to calculate and enter complex payroll adjustments related to insurance deductions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position generally requires the education acquired through possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Departmental Analyst class.
