Huntington National Bank - QA Testing Analyst Senior
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Huntington Bank is looking for a QA Testing Senior to provide leadership in QA activities spanning multiple platforms. This role requires experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), DR, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). As a QA Testing Senior, you will work to develop test strategies and test plans for team projects ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and practiced, working closely with multiple technologies teams across the enterprise. You will also execute test cases and communicate status to project team members and key stakeholders.
This role is a hybrid position, in the office 3 days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in agile practices and ceremonies through scrum team planning sessions, user story refinement, daily status updates, and interaction with other scrum team leaders.
- Create Test Strategy/Plan Document for user stories and larger scale efforts (Feature(s)/Epic) working closely with Development team, SMEs, and Business to ensure full coverage of acceptance criteria to be met during testing.
- Responsible for the planning, integration, test casing, scripting, and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverage.
- Schedule and lead test deliverables review sessions as necessary.
- Work with business segment testers as needed to support User Acceptance Testing, ensuring user criteria are clearly defined and testable, test data is available, and test results and defects are documented and addressed.
- Work with scrum masters to build out test execution metrics and present those to leadership when requested.
- Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review, and user group meetings for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with BSA and Development teams in the analysis and review of business objectives and requirements to ensure requirements are testable.
- Knowledge of test data requirements, planning, and conditioning test data for complex test scenarios.
- Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications; develop, document, and maintain the test data, data validation, end-to-end testing flows.
- Create test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness.
- Create and facilitate review of the Test Strategy with the project team.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Collect testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teams.
- Ensure all aspects of testing, such as manual execution, regression, automation, and performance testing, are completed.
- Collaborate with Project Test Lead on estimating the test efforts and with the project team to support UAT efforts as needed.
- Maintain the regression test bed to meet changing requirements.
- Participate in off-hour production releases as needed.
- Support the project’s warranty period as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience scripting and QA testing, including understanding of the QA practice as it applies to the Agile lifecycle.
- 4+ years’ experience analyzing data, troubleshooting data issues, and creating action plans to address data quality issues.
- 4+ years’ experience with both manual and automated testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Banking and Financial service markets.
- Negotiation skills with the ability to influence others by information/knowledge sharing.
- Proficiency in using testing tools (ALM), in addition to in-depth knowledge of common testing methods, terminology, and industry best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely to all levels of management and establish effective working relationships with our internal customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data structures, data management practices, various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations such as PCI, SOX, or similar standards.
- Advanced knowledge of using software packages or tools for processing or displaying data.
