The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Single Family Senior Accountant who will:
- Assist in administering OHFA’s monthly & annual accounting functions & reporting of OHFA's financial position.
- Assist in the coordination & implementation of internal accounting processes which provides monthly reports, account balances & financial statements.
- Provide staff training on more complex accounting functions & works with bond accountants by assisting in reviewing assigned work, developing & directing account analysis & helping to evaluate performance.
- Work with the Auditor of State for audit requirements & prepare special reports for internal & external use as needed.
- Assist in establishing & maintaining policies & procedures to comply with bond covenants & loan program guidelines.
- Develop working relationships with OHFA board, staff & program partners including trustee banks, loan servicing banks & mortgage insurers.
- Represent agency in meetings with trustees, bond rating agencies, auditors & loan servicers.
HYBRID Work: Employees in this position are eligible for OHFA's Teleworking Policy unless operational needs require otherwise. Currently, employees participating in teleworking are required to come into OHFA's offices two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week. OHFA's offices are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.
Qualifications:
The Office of Finance is seeking a Single Family Senior Accountant (Admin Staff) with the following work experience & education:
- Three years work experience in Accounting;
- AND Degree in Accounting.
Necessary Job Skills: Accounting & Finance, Internal Auditing, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Attention to Detail, Teamwork, Time Management, Coaching, Problem Solving.
A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Results-oriented professional with extensive accounting experience within highly competitive markets.
- Analytical problem solver skilled in successfully performing high volume & time sensitive projects.
- Collaborative communicator continually focused on implementing programs to ensure accurate reporting, increased productivity & optimal performance.
