Grant Accountant - Mission-Driven Organization - $75-90k Salary + 50 Days PTO + Pension
Hemphill is partnering with an outstanding organization that has made a meaningful impact in our community for years to help identify a well-rounded financial accountant to step into this important role!
This organization is intentionally open-minded as they search for the right person to join their team. While grant or fund accounting experience is a plus, they believe a well-rounded accountant who takes pride in their work can thrive in this position. With a calm, down-to-earth culture where people genuinely care for each other, this company fosters a supportive, heads-down work environment focused on making a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:
- Manage grant funds from start to finish, overseeing all assigned grants. This includes tracking funds, keeping accounts organized, and ensuring everything lines up for smooth financial reporting.
- Keep the books balanced by reviewing and adjusting accounts as needed. This involves working with internal systems to align payroll and budgets, ensuring everything is in sync.
- Spot and fix errors by digging into the details. When something doesn't look right, investigate the issue, determine what went wrong, and collaborate with teams to get things back on track.
- Prepare and maintain reports, whether it’s for grant reimbursements, audits, or management inquiries. Handle the necessary documentation to keep everything running smoothly and compliant with financial requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven organization whose actions reflect their values. If you’re looking to balance career growth with meaningful work, this role offers both. With best-in-class benefits, including 50 days of time off each year, low-premium health insurance, and a pension plan, you’ll have the support you need to thrive both at work and in life outside of it.
