Position Summary

Ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the Legal Aid of Nebraska Accounting office; coordinates current and projected needs of the support side of the office and carries out the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Essential Functions

Oversee reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and post adjusting entries for review and approval of the Director of Finance.
Provide grant reporting and compliance support to the Director of Finance
Prepare and submit payroll information to the vendor.
Prepare special reports and analyses on an as-needed basis.
Oversee, along with the Director of Finance, accounting control processes (procurement, inventory, etc as outlined in the accounting manual)
In the Accounting Clerk’s absence, this individual will produce and mail checks.
Prepares monthly revenue-expense report and balance sheet for review with the Director of Finance.

Requirements:

Required Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an accountant.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Non-profit experience preferred.
