This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are January 13th, 2025, through June 6th, 2025).
What You Will Do
Research and facilitate the manufacturing of new and replacement Entertainment costumes.
Partner with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to ensure costume quality and design is consistently maintained.
Coordinate fittings with Entertainment and Workroom personnel.
Interact daily with Entertainment Show Producers, Directors, Designers, and Entertainment and Costuming Operating Managers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experienced in the Theater, Film or Fashion Industry.
Proven planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Computer proficiency in programs such as Excel, OneNote, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Smartsheet as well as willingness to learn new programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated strong partnering skills.
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Education
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Currently enrolled as a Senior, recent graduate, or graduate student.
Major or previous coursework in Costuming, Costume or Apparel Design, Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Fine Arts or equivalent.
Materials Required
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements
Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Anaheim, California area and have reliable transportation to/from work.
