About The Role
The IT Business Analyst role will research, analyze, and recommend solutions through in-depth functional knowledge of business processes to deliver value to end-users. Offers advanced functional perspective and insight to technical solutions. Partners with IT and business process experts to document problem statements and perform business case analysis to ensure solutions meet business needs and provide value. Supports business in creation of process flows, solution testing, implementation, and change management for business solution delivery.
- Requirements Management: Collaborate with business partners and peers to understand and document requirements, conduct stakeholder analysis, and manage the entire requirements lifecycle. Translate requirements into data flows and mappings.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Collect and analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Develop and leverage a deep understanding of applicable business functions, industry trends, and best practices. Map and document current processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance overall business performance. Work closely with customers and colleagues to identify opportunities to utilize information systems to improve business processes and promote the strategic use of information.
- Solution Evaluation and Validation: Conduct research and discovery around technology solutions to solve existing business challenges. Assess the feasibility and potential impact of proposed initiatives. Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and return on investment (ROI) evaluations to support decision-making.
- Solution Delivery: Support the delivery of new solutions with future state process definitions, data clean-up and conversions, solution testing, training, and adoption management.
- Communication and Change Management: Present and communicate solution concepts with leaders, peers, and stakeholders. Support the implementation of changes within the organization. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to manage resistance, promote adoption, and ensure successful transitions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in business related field, agriculture, computer science or other relevant degree or Four years of work experience
- Zero to Four years of progressive work experience in IT or related field
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills are necessary to build relationships, facilitate discussions, and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to identify, diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and determine root causes with speed and efficiency
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written skills
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in documenting requirements, creating clear and concise reports, and developing visual aids such as process flows or diagrams.
- Able to understand the broader business context, including organizational goals, strategies, and financial aspects.
Preferred
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the agriculture supply chain, commodity trading, and transportation industry.
- Able to present information and insights in an easily understandable format.
- Skills to assess impacts, develop change strategies, and implement effective training.
