We are accepting applications for a Senior Financial Analyst within the Division of Oil and Gas, headquartered at Fountain Square, assigned to Franklin county. What You Will Do
- Administer fiscal aspects of federal grants. Collaborate with program staff and fiscal staff to assemble, review, and analyze documents for grant applications. Establish fiscal monitoring of grants for quality assurance throughout all steps of grants by reviewing available funds and submittals in compliance with state and federal procedures and policies.
- Prepare, review & submit to supervisors and grantors: grant applications and budgets; monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Close out allocations at end of grant process. Coordinate cash drawdowns with all internal and external staff and external entities. Serve as a liaison with federal accounting systems. Review revenue and expenditures for appropriateness, analysis, and completes corrections. Monitor cash balances and fund match for federal funds for expenditures and payroll.
- Independently research & analyze complex information to resolve errors, modify data, and/or determine appropriate action with external involvement.
- Assist with other accounting duties such as fiscal programs with purchasing, accounts payable, revenue, escrow agreements, inventory, monitoring expenditures and revenue and forecasting & trend analysis of existing & expected funds.
Starting hourly pay of $27.84/hour with multiple pay increases over your first 9 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $40.77/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 42 months of experience or 42 months of training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 18 months of experience or 18 months of training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- OR completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 6 months of experience or 6 months of training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- OR 12 months of experience as Financial Analyst, 66562.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
