Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly responsible, professional position located within the Bureau of Preparedness and Response, Administrative Preparedness Section, Procurement Unit. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision of staff including appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, having the authority for hiring, and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions. The incumbent is also responsible for overseeing and monitoring all procurement-related activities for the bureau. This includes advance preparations in anticipation of procurements, solicitations, oversight of invoice and voucher processing, encumbrance reviews, and issue resolution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data relating to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing, or report writing.
- Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

Qualifications:
Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification is preferred, but not required.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
