Donaldson is searching for a bar-raising Senior Financial Analyst who thrives in a dynamic workplace, and who can actively contribute to our talented and diverse team. This new and unique role is structured to span multiple areas and projects to efficiently allocate capital in alignment with our strategic priorities, and meaningfully raise our company’s return on investments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with finance leadership to further advance the maturity of the Company’s strategic approach to capital investment.
- Actively partner with key contacts within global finance and manufacturing teams as well as leaders of the business verticals and support portfolios to support strategic capital planning initiatives and investment decisions.
- Review and develop capital expenditure recommendations by ensuring sound business justification through validation of assumptions, understanding, and rigorous financial analysis while interacting with all stakeholders.
- Develop discounted cash flow models to evaluate project cash flows using various financial methods including NPV, IRR, payback period, and assess impact on corporate ROIC.
- Individually and in collaboration with others, enhance or develop standard tools and templates to support financial analysis and decision making, assist and guide stakeholders in understanding inputs and considerations in using the tools, and implement processes to support on-going training.
- Drive scenario planning opportunities to support strategic leadership discussions.
- Lead annual capital planning and forecasting activities while partnering with FP&A to integrate capital plans into financial models and long-range plans.
- Report periodic results to management and other key stakeholders.
- Initiate and lead projects/teams, drive actions to closure.
- Other analytical project work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- 4 years of direct professional finance experience.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with financial analysis reporting tools (such as BPC, BI and Tableau).
- Collaborative worker and analytical thinker - ability to perform financial and risk analysis, resolve problems, and make investment recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct professional finance experience.
- Prior Financial Planning & Analysis experience.
- Certification such as CPA, CMA, or CTP.
- Experience with discounted cash flow modeling.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
