Responsibilities:
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will include:
- Coordinating and conducting audits, special projects, and reviews of Department operations, programs, controls, contracts, and agreements.
- Developing assignment scopes, methodologies, and audit programs.
- Preparing, researching, and designing evaluations of programs, systems, controls, policies, and procedures.
- Analyzing supporting evidence, drawing logical conclusions, and developing findings and recommendations.
- Organizing and facilitating the work of team members when assigned as team leader.
- Preparing thorough documentation of work performed.
- Preparing oral and written briefings, draft and final reports.
- Performing procedure reviews.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of auditing standards and practices.
- Knowledge of information technology and operational auditing best practices.
- Skills in using word processing, electronic spreadsheets, and data query languages.
- Ability to understand and apply laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to learn and understand complex processes and systems.
