Job Title: Sr. Inspector
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6+ months (Possibility of extension)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Business Title: Sr. Inspector
Business Unit: Neuro Quality
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
· As part of the Neuromodulation Receiving Inspection Team, support supplier quality assurance inspection activities related to Neuromodulation product to assure conformance to all dimensional requirements and quality specifications.
· Provide technical inspection and testing in a lab environment for production components as received from the supplier.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities should show the key accountabilities for the role.
· Inspect In-Process Materials to determine if dimensional requirements meet established specifications such as size, quality and overall appearance.
· Utilize the full complement of fundamental metrology devices including toolmakers microscope and basic hand tools to determine if workmanship and dimensional requirements meet established specifications.
· Fill out appropriate history cards and electronic data, accurately documenting all inspection findings using established departmental systems.
· Work closely with engineering on inspection process development and improvement.
· Work closely with the Chemical Technologies group on parts that are submitted for tests.
· Train new employees when needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Able to work with close tolerance piece parts and gages +/- .0001.
· Able to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
· Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
· Proficient in the use of basic hand tools for dimensional inspection.
· Proficient in the use of Toolmakers Microscope.
· Able to work on multiple projects.
· Team player, good communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
· High school diploma/GED.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
· 5 years previous dimensional inspection experience.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
· Medical industry inspection required.
