We are currently searching for interns to join our Accounting department next year. You will be working in a creative, fast-paced, and professional setting. The internship training provides the chance to gain knowledge in the Accounting area. This position will be working to help our teams build a great foundation for them to work off of, so they have a head start with each new project. It is an exciting position within WoodmenLife.
What you will be doing:
- Accounts Payable : Gain an in-depth introduction to Accounts Payable processes such as coding and processing payments.
- Accounts Receivable : Gain an in-depth introduction to various Accounts Receivable processes, such as applying payments, researching, and corresponding with Sales Representatives and members.
- Accounting Services : Gain in-depth exposure to processes and procedures of Corporate Social Responsibilityprojects.
- Tax : Process and Completion of 990N’s.
- Internal Auditing: Gain in-depth understanding of the internal auditing process, including owning audit(s) and special projects with assistance from other team members.
- Business communication : Develop professional business communications through engagement(s) with internal stakeholders across various business units from start to completion.
- Other Accounting/Audit projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
This job requires a background that demonstrates the following minimum knowledge, skills, talents and traits:
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college with area of study in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related fields
- Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working with multiple audiences and stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of Accounting/Audit theories and practices

Commitment: Part Time Flexible Hours (approximately 25 hours per week)
