The Senior Credit Analyst/Team Leader represents a positive image of the Bank while providing analytical and administrative support for the Bank’s commercial, commercial real estate, and consumer lending functions in addition to leading the credit analyst team and working directly with the Chief Credit Officer. The Senior Credit Analyst will work with the lending staff to underwrite loan requests per Loan Policy and Underwriting Guidelines to manage/mitigate overall risk in the loan portfolio.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze borrower’s financials and underwrite loan requests as directed by the Loan Policy and Guidelines.
- Complete Credit Presentations and provide recommendations regarding structure, collateral, etc., that are appropriate for the size and complexity of the request.
- Organize and prioritize workflow to ensure that assigned duties are completed on a timely basis.
- Obtain, organize and investigate credit information at the request of lending officers.
- As needed, join lenders on customer visits and communicate with borrower’s staff to obtain information needed to complete the Credit Presentation.
- Complete financial spreads and RMA analysis.
- Assist with annual collateral inspections/audits (AF, inventories, equipment, and floor plan compliance) to ensure adequate security coverage for the credit.
- Maintain early warning/trending database and completes interim financial and covenant compliance analysis. Provides appropriate reporting on a periodic basis.
- Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly Loan Reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- This position requires a minimum of five years experience in credit analysis as a Credit Analyst or credit-related position with exposure to both commercial and commercial real estate lending. Four-year degree preferred.
- Must have a background in commercial and commercial real estate lending.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills.
- Must have extensive background in financial analysis.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- The ability to accurately document and communicate findings to both management and senior management.
