As the Cost Accounting Manager for the Outdoor Performance Group, you will be responsible for analyzing and controlling the costs of production, materials, labor, and overhead for all manufacturing sites to ensure accurate cost information for decision-making purposes.
This position reports to the Sr Director, Accounting and is based out of our Bozeman office.
As the Manager, Cost Accounting, you will have an opportunity to:
- Analyze production costs and variances to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and provide insights to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Collaborate with FP&A to develop and manage budgets for various departments or projects.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Standard costing in Net Suite.
- Support the ERP integration of all OPG Manufacturing Sites.
- Monitor inventory levels and valuation, implementing strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Prepare accurate and timely inventory reporting for management review.
- Establish consistent costing and reserve processes and procedures across manufacturing sites.
- Assist with the creation and validation of manufacturing capital investment requests to determine whether Return on Investment and payback period meets/exceeds corporate guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant data and insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cost accounting processes.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 10+ years of progressive Accounting and/or costing experience in a consumer products manufacturing/sourcing company.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, present findings in a clear and concise manner, and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.
Pay Range:
$92,800.00 - $152,900.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
