About This Opportunity
As an Accounting Analyst - Historical, you will establish the initial data feeds for new customers and complete historical data conversion projects at Orion. The Historical Accounting Analyst will work closely with the Implementation Project Manager to ensure project deadlines are met and to help set expectations regarding the quality of the customer’s historical data. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Omaha, NE office.
In This Role, You’ll Get To:
- Work with Implementation Project Manager to create estimates for historical conversion bids.
- Work with external vendors for quality control of the conversion packages provided.
- Submit download interface setup requests to tech support.
- Be responsible for meeting deadlines of projects in the conversion queue.
- Provide weekly project status updates to account manager and customer.
- Establish task priorities with programming and products teams for project completion.
- Use custodial raw files to import data into history-specific accounts to reconcile/scrub and match up with active accounts.
- Use processes specific to converting historical data from 3rd party financial systems to the Orion platform and reconcile/scrub to match up with active custodial accounts.
- Import historical performances.
- Analyze and scrub historical transactions to reconcile to the starting date of live data.
- Be responsible for communicating any issues and gathering resources when manual intervention is needed for reconciliation.
- Analyze performance of accounts and households, review and remedy data issues discovered, and communicate remaining outliers to Implementation Project Manager and customer.
- Participate in client calls as requested.
- Track time spent on all conversion projects in Harvest.
- Submit download interface setup and required paperwork to tech support.
- Set up of fund families, custodians, and interface defaults.
- Populate Salesforce with advisor-specific instructions for daily download feeds.
- Establish starting values in each account.
- Facilitate transfer of databases to a permanent analyst team.
- Retrieve and import prices for mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and variable annuities on a daily basis.
- Retrieve and import transactions for all downloaded accounts.
- Maintain a list of daily and weekly downloaded accounts for each database.
- Maintain and verify correct share balances by running balance checks (on a daily and monthly basis) and make corrections to accounts, as needed.
- Monitor close of business day interface job schedules.
- Perform regression and build testing for new development and programming enhancements to the OAS system.
- Run audit reports within client databases to inspect data and fix exception reports as needed.
- Monitor and reconcile scrub audits across Orion customer databases.
- Compare and evaluate data within electronic system against electronic files.
We’re Looking For Talent Who:
- Has a minimum of a High School diploma.
- Has a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- Possess prior experience in the financial services industry.
- Has a minimum of 2 years Orion accounting analyst experience.
- Obtain Orion Industry Certification.
- Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
Salary Range
$19.78 - $28.30. The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, it may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
