Requirement:
- Eight (8) years of experience to include contract management experience. A bachelor’s degree may substitute on a year-to-year basis.
Additional requirement:
- Must be a Florida Certified Contract Manager or be willing to obtain certification within the first six (6) months of employment.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in contract management. Contract Management experience would include the ability to follow formal legal communications, Florida Administrative Code rules, and Florida statutes related to contracts and procurements.
Additional preferences:
- Experience with invoicing or reconciling.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
This position starts with a salary of $65,000.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read, comprehend and appropriately apply policies, rules, and statutes to the daily operations of the programs.
- Ability to write comprehensive draft orders in compliance with the Office of General Council and Program guidance.
- Knowledge of contract management best practices and how to establish compliance with contract requirements.
- Ability to retrieve and produce reports of data as requested by stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
Full Performance Level KSA’s:
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position will work in the My Safe Florida Home Program. A successful applicant can effectively administer policies, business processes, and agency rulemaking. Duties will include reviewing policies, and procedures, contract and procurement documents, and contract management activities. Contract management activities include monitoring for compliance with performance measures, ensuring deliverables are adequately fulfilled and monthly invoices are reconciled, and payments are timely made. A successful applicant will work with members of the public as well as across the agency with excellent customer service.
