As Credit Collection Associate, you will be responsible for the credit and collection of regional accounts and processing and support of liens and bond claims, as well as A/R risk management. In this role, you will be a key player in our team, exhibiting strong leadership and teamwork skills to ensure superior customer service both internally and externally. Location: Lisle, IL or Moline, IL, and flexible to include surrounding areas.
JOB DUTIES
- Take a leadership role to drive, actively (directly) collect and support collection activities. Collaborate with the frontline personnel to understand the current account state, past due items, and the root cause of non-payment, and develop and follow up on agreed-upon actions to resolve.
- Provide branch level A/R support to drive A/R key performance indicators and help resolve past due accounts.
- Provide monthly reporting for accounts receivable reports and month-end reports.
- Execute collection meetings with the frontline to identify and discuss key items with actions put in place immediately to ensure payments are being received.
- Assist frontline with resolving billing disputes and ensure that actions are identified and resolved.
- Conduct account reconciliations.
- Responsible for understanding and driving third-party billing submittal and billing processes for National Accounts and developing core competency with key 3rd party systems (Service Channel, Arriba, Verisae, PayModeX, OB10 (Government), etc.).
- Develop monthly controls to ensure monthly invoicing is being submitted to 3rd party websites prior to the contractual deadline, customer notes are updated in SAP (for Branch reference) and responsible for evaluation and interaction with 3rd party collections, bankruptcy, bonding, liens, internal legal department, and external attorneys.
- Other duties as assigned.
A desired candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or economics, preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated commercial credit and collection experience in the commercial service or construction industry. Prior experience billing and collecting preferred with experience in understanding the billing collection process, resolving disputes, account reconciliations, billing rates, and contractual terms.

Budgeted Salary Range: $71,000 ---- $87,000
