About the Role
ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc is looking for an Associate Director, Ophthalmology Marketing to join our organization, reporting to the Director of Ophthalmology Marketing. This role will be based in an office in the Princeton, N.J. area with a 3 day per week in office expectation.
Working with the Director, Ophthalmology Marketing, this individual will assist in developing and executing the optimal promotional strategy and tactical mix to increase product awareness, conversion and utilization of our products among target customers.
The successful candidate will possess and demonstrate outstanding marketing acumen with strategic problem- solving skills that can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmology. Experience marketing a product in a competitive space with a track record of market growth is desired.
The Associate Director, Ophthalmology Marketing will be responsible for marketing efforts across the relevant ophthalmology and eye care markets. This position is a unique opportunity to establish and build ANI’s presence in the ophthalmology space and to contribute to the buildout of the marketing function at ANI.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the peer-to-peer promotional strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, including speaker program content development, speaker program operational planning, speaker bureau recruitment, and other peer-to-peer tactics across non-personal channels
- Lead the development and execution of the conference strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, including conference booth and collateral development, customer and thought leader engagement, conference surround strategy, and other conference engagement opportunities
- Lead planning and execution of advisory boards and other HCP and Patient insights gathering initiatives.
- In collaboration with the sales leadership, develop and launch personal promotion resources for the sales organization including access pull-through resources
- In collaboration with cross-functional partners, contribute to the development and refinement of the HCP and Patient positioning & messaging
- Depending on interest and opportunity, develop and execute tactics across other promotional channels or target audiences (digital/non-personal, patient, payer/access)
- Ensure appropriate analytical plans are developed and executed to measure promotional program effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI
- Manage marketing agencies and external partners to develop assets, campaigns and execute programs targeted to potential patients.
- Collaborate with the other commercial team members: Marketing, Sales, Sales Training, Strategic Development & Advocacy, Patient Services and Market Access to ensure alignment and/or harmony of the core brand message platform and initiatives across all stakeholder audiences, including physician, payer, consumer.
- Ensure all promotional activities are compliant with all applicable rules and regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (life science, marketing, business) is required; advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, etc.) is preferred
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical marketing experience is required
- Experience in marketing rare disease or ophthalmology / eye care products is preferred
- Ability to interact and lead effectively within the company (cross department and with all levels of the organization)
- Ability to manage and prioritize strategies, initiatives and workload proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong writing skills with proven success in authoring content for consumer facing markets that include patients
- Exceptional project management skills including coordination, communication and adherence to budget and completion goals, prioritization and troubleshooting
- Strong marketing/business acumen and experience managing external agencies
- Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations with some direction and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances
- Travel Required: 10-20% domestic travel
