Department Overview
The Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) business unit offers a portfolio of comprehensive video security and access control that provides intelligent, flexible cloud-native and on-premise solutions. Including Avigilon Unity, Avigilon Alta, Pelco, and Envysion, VS&A has powerful security solutions for every environment.
The VS&A Product Finance team is passionate about providing high quality finance support to our business partners across the organization, by gathering, interpreting, and evaluating financial information, including past financial results and short-to long-term forecasts. We analyze trends, risks and opportunities to support informed decisions for product development and go-to-market strategies. This requires each Finance team member to be resourceful, ambitious, curious, collaborative, and communicative.

Job Description
This role will operate on a hybrid schedule based out of our Chicago office. This team currently flexes the number of days it is in office, candidates should expect to be in the office at least 1 day per week.
The Senior Financial Analyst position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, intelligent, collaborative individual. In this role you will leverage excellent communication and strong analytical skills to work closely with the Finance team and its stakeholders including Product Management and Supply Chain on strategic analyses, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Provide decision support, measure product portfolio performance and analyze key business performance
- Translate reports and data to provide a meaningful story to business stakeholders
- Prepare in-depth financial analysis of new product launches, pricing actions and product discontinuation strategies
- Identify and communicate key product trends, risks and opportunities to the Product Management team and other stakeholders
- Provide input and data-driven analysis to assist with decision making on strategic initiatives
- Partner with Manufacturing, Sales and Product Management on a monthly basis to develop and update product forecasts
- Continuously evaluate opportunities for efficiency improvements and ways to work smarter
- Other ad hoc projects and duties as required
Additional Skills
- 3+ years of experience in finance
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Experience in Finance business partnering and/or financial planning and analysis (forecasting, modeling)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills. Familiarity with building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company make strategic recommendations
- Exposure to SAP a plus
- Excellent critical thinking, communication and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals
- Comfortable with ambiguity and developing creative solutions to business questions. When asked to deliver or solve for “X”, you’re keeping your eyes out for how to recommend the opportunities for “Y” and “Z”
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be additive when and where you can, and support broader team tasks
- Elevated pride of ownership in work product
