Position Overview:
Based out of our corporate office, the Senior Accounts Receivable Representative will manage the accounts receivables for a portfolio of accounts, focusing on resolving outstanding issues and reducing the aged receivables, while assisting the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to help achieve team metrics and goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 1,000 – 1,500 active accounts
- Reduce the aged receivables for your portfolio
- Navigate 3rd party business to business payment platforms for billing issues and payment updates
- Determine accounts that are uncollectable, recommending they be placed with an outside collection agency
- Work with sales and clients on issues such as pricing discrepancies, claims issues, and client questions
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management
- Answer inbound calls daily and respond to A/R incoming emails
- Process customers credit card and e-check payments
- Ensure customer service by understanding and exceeding client expectations
- Lead a team towards common metrics and goals
Education/Experience/Skills:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a Collections Role
- Associate Degree from a community college or above
- High level of customer service skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
