The Northern Trust Company seeks a Senior Trader – Brokerage to execute stock trades and monitor security prices. Ensure that each trade is handled equitably and settled properly. Monitor market place developments to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the investment industry. Inform portfolio managers of alternate trading strategies. Record, measure, review, and analyze trading performance, commission payments, and soft dollar commitments. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with trade processing in a fiduciary environment. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience executing trades with minimal market impact, investment instruments, market structures, and measurement techniques; 5 years of experience with analyzing effects of various market transactions; 5 years of experience with trading cash and program trades for internal and external clients; 5 years of experience sending indications of interest; and 5 years of experience working according to securities laws and regulations.
