• Providing strategic guidance on regulatory matters (in particular compliance with new laws) and new industry and business developments
• Closely cooperating with business and legal stakeholders across Amazon Global Media and Entertainment
• Some travel may be required
A day in the life
You will be the primary legal support for many Amazon Music business clients in North America and globally. You will directly advise the Amazon Music businesses on a broad range of matters, focusing on regulatory guidance. You will work as the lead lawyer on strategic projects, providing day-to-day advice to the business on a wide range of legal areas and new business initiatives. You will be asked to develop innovative solutions to novel legal questions.

- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a litigation or regulatory attorney, preferably with some of that time spent advising clients on IP, technology, entertainment, and/or consumer law issues
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to act as business partner
- Ability to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to novel legal questions
- Good judgment in ambiguous and fast-moving situations
- Ability to deliver results independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to remain nimble, learn, be curious, and adapt to a changing world

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
