Your Key Job Functions
The Sr. Accountant, Fixed Assets supports the fixed asset supervisor within the Property Accounting team. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Property Accounting. Key duties and responsibilities of the role follow:
- Assist the fixed asset supervisor with the recording, reviewing, and reconciling of acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Assist with preparation of the monthly fixed asset reconciliations and account rollforwards.
- Monthly approval of journal entries created by the offshore fixed asset team.
- Assist with annual impairment analyses for long-lived assets.
- Review costs charged to project AFE’s to determine if properly capitalizable.
- Assist in the budgeting/forecasting process as needed.
- Complete special projects and analyses for management requiring analysis of financial information as requested.
- Work collaboratively with others within and outside the function to achieve goals, simplify processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Responsible for internal controls and process narratives for applicable job functions.
- Responsible for adhering to all employment policies as stated in the employee handbook provided or as provided by a supervisor.
What You Bring to the Team
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interface with all levels within the organization.
- Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in the retail/hospitality industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with Smartview preferred.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and data quality control.
- Possess proficient analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Work independently and effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently; able to multi-task and adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
