Senior Financial Planning Analyst
Job Summary:
Mishimoto is looking for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. In this role you will have the awesome responsibility of analyzing data and making recommendations on profitability improvements and cost savings across the organization. You will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects such as
financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. You will prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas. Using that information to identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, is a master of process and a stickler for details. The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Director of FP&A.
What You'll Do:
- Work with business partners across the organization to support the annual budget, multi-year financial strategy, and monthly and quarterly forecast, including consolidation, reporting, and analytics.
- Analyze monthly reports for actual results compared to budget, prior year and forecast. Review results with management and provide a complete understanding of variances; this includes driving efforts to understand root causes of variances and making recommendations to enhance business performance.
- Effectively communicate the status of planning, forecasting, modeling, other projects, and related reporting throughout the Company.
- Customer & product P&L development and analysis.
- Support the annual budget and provide guidance to global business teams including managing the data collection and consolidation process with accounting resources and functional leadership; validate completeness and accuracy with the goal of communicating trends and key drivers to executive leadership.
- Identify and analyze key performance indicators that drive performance.
- Ensure reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled including supporting accounting with variance analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Creds:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- 4-7 Years of prior experience in financial analysis, accounting or as a finance business partner.
- Financial analytical skills must address the full range of issues including marketing, strategic planning, technology, and economics from an operational and strategic standpoint.
- Sound understanding of US GAAP and financial consolidation processes.
- Sound acumen in Account Reconciliation, Business Valuation, Capital Management Financial Analysis, Financial Forecasting, Investment Analysis, Profitability Analysis, Trend Analysis, Financial Analysis Software and Financial Research.
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Knowledge of ERP and consolidation systems, as well as expertise in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Demonstrated experience using Excel to build and maintain complex financial models as well as perform financial and data analysis.
