The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Motor Vehicle Tax Field Auditor. This position is responsible for auditing and investigations involving the enforcement of Vermont Tax Laws relating to taxpayer compliance with the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and International Registration Plan (IRP). This unit also audits fuel tax, rental companies, rail, IFTA, and IRP revenues of approximately several hundred million dollars annually. This position also provides taxpayer technical assistance and education for auditees.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, auditing, business administration, or related field.
