Location: Memphis, TN (hybrid)
As a Senior Financial Analyst in our Risk Management team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and integrity of internal and external data related to risk and claims management. Your responsibilities will include analyzing data, supporting decision-making, and overseeing the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review process. Responsibilities
Insurance Coverage Support: Assist Risk Management by providing information and analysis necessary to secure and maintain insurance coverage. This includes coordinating the submission of self-insurance applications.
Accounting Activities: Collaborate on various accounting activities, such as building fiscal year plans, period close reporting, and reconciliations.
Audits: Participate in internal and external audits, as well as insurance premium audits.
Insurance Billing Analysis: Analyze and reconcile insurance billing for Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability programs.
Loss Trends and Baseline Data: Analyze loss trends and financial outcomes to help define, measure, analyze, improve, and control exposures causing loss or claims. Develop baseline data for risk assessment.
Claim Management Reports: Develop and distribute various claim management reports and key performance indicators to internal and external partners. These reports cover ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual periods, including casualty loss data for allocation reports, actuarial reports, and insurance renewals.
Accident Reports and Corrective Actions: Review and analyze weekly vehicle accident reports. Serve as a key member of the Corporate Accident Review Board. Determine corrective actions based on collision and driving record assessments.
Independent Decision Making: Provide independent decision-making guidance and interpretation of responsibilities.
MVR Process Oversight: Oversee the MVR process for employees who drive company vehicles.
Special Projects: Contribute to Risk Management initiatives through special projects.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Three to five years experience in Risk Management/Business/Accounting/Finance.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office programs.
- PeopleSoft/Oracle financial systems experience preferred.
