Key Job Elements

Duties and responsibilities:

Perform monthly closing activities, to include journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliations including detailed supporting schedules;
Engage with operations management to assist in preparing and analyzing annual budgets, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts;
Manage inventory cost accounting processes, ensuring cost and quantity accuracy;
Responsible for Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable for multiple Signal locations;
Implement and ensure adherence to SOX controls;
Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation for all internal and external audit requests;
Lead or participate in special projects for the Signaling team as needed;
Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal management as requested;
Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus;
Five years or more related experience; preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Infor LN or other ERP systems and Cognos/TM1 Reporting knowledge is a plus;
Must demonstrate analytical skills and general knowledge of accounting processes;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Strong organization skills; able to consistently meet deadlines;
Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment;
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting is required.
