As a Senior Insurance Placement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating the placement of insurance policies for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge and strong negotiation skills to ensure optimal coverage and competitive rates. Collaborating closely with underwriters, brokers, and clients, you will analyze risk profiles, assess insurance needs, and develop tailored placement strategies.
How You Will Contribute
- Assist with the marketing efforts of new business accounts by preparing insurance submissions which will include applications, loss runs and any other pertinent information on the account.
- Submit the insurance submission to the insurance carriers for quoting via email and online rating. Follow up with carriers on quotations of the submissions.
- Develop relationships with insurance carriers. Develop in-depth knowledge of different insurance products offered by insurance carriers – rating plans and programs, particularly work comp loss sensitive plans. Contact carriers as necessary to discuss issues and problems as directed by CL Team Leader.
- Negotiate the pricing and coverage options on renewal accounts.
- Maintain open communication during difficult insurance carrier issues at the direction of the Profit Center Leader/CL Team Leader/Producers.
- Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverage and premiums to submit to clients and prospects as directed by the CL Team Leader.
- Transfer new business and renewals to assigned Account Managers once the account has been bound with the insurance carriers.
- Assist the CL Team Leader with tracking all new business and renewal activity.
- Assist the CL Team Leader with the organization of all marketing materials of insurance carriers as a resource for the agency.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
Required Minimum Education
- High school diploma
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- Industry software experience
