Preferences:
- Four (4) years of professional experience. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the years of preferred experience.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in disbursements (accounts payable).
- Two (2) years’ experience reviewing, managing, or monitoring contracts and or grants.
- Professional experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, and agency policies.
- Experience using Microsoft platforms.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
The base annual salary for this position is $44,386.10.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to understand, interpret and apply State & Federal laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing. Ability to independently plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position has responsibilities involving procedures adopted by the Department, Division, and Bureau. The procedures are part of the internal control structure used to provide reasonable assurance that objectives are met. This position shall use, comply with, and, if needed, improve these controls and procedures in the performance of duties within the Bureau of Auditing.
This is a professional accounting/auditing position involving the independent application of accounting and auditing concepts, principles, theories, and technical skills. This position is responsible for independently auditing and processing complex disbursement.
