Tatum by Randstad is seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting processes, including cash management, fixed assets, cost accounting, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, and revenue management. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records through month-end analysis, actual vs. budget comparisons, and routine account reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvements, ensuring compliance with policies, timely reporting, and accurate financial analysis.
This position offers a dynamic role for someone with experience in cost accounting and financial analysis, particularly in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on driving improvements and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
General Accounting: Prepare, record, and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy in day-to-day accounting activities.
Month-End Close: Play a critical role in the month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including performing analysis of financial data.
Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting functions, including tracking production costs, labor, materials, and overhead allocation to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
Inventory Accounting: Manage inventory accounting processes, including tracking and reconciling inventory balances, conducting periodic physical counts, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Accounts Receivable: Oversee the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash application, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition.
Revenue Management: Assist in revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accurate reporting of sales and revenues.
Actual vs. Budget Analysis: Conduct detailed monthly financial analysis, comparing actual performance against budget, identifying variances, and providing actionable insights to management.
Reconciliations: Execute the daily tracking and balancing of working capital sub-ledgers to the general ledger and perform account reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
Tax Accounting: Ensure the company's tax obligations are met by assisting in the preparation of necessary tax-related accounting tasks.
Process Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous process improvement efforts, particularly in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Ad Hoc Projects: Support ad hoc projects, tasks, and financial reporting as required by management.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare actual results to budgeted figures and explain variances.
- Experience with month-end close processes and revenue management.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or construction is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and focus on continuous improvement.
