We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our enterprise-level Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
Historical Analysis:
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, and SG&A expense variances in actual results and across forecast iterations. Communicate findings to management, and initiate corrective actions where necessary with budget owners.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis on historical results highlighting key performance drivers; summarize results, insights, key indicators, and any actionable recommendations for management.
- Summarize weekly key performance indicators including order intake, order backlog, and shipments with comparisons to expectations where applicable.
Planning, Forecasting, and Driving the Business:
- Assist in developing process and cadence for the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and intra-quarter outlooks.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forward-looking projections that includes P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Through analytical rigor, pressure test financial assumptions to identify areas of opportunity and risk; assist in further exploiting opportunities and/or development of risk contingencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights, drive improvements in forecasting across the organization, and support decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate and improve forecasting systems, tools, and processes to drive efficacy and efficiency.
- Perform duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree plus five or more years of experience in finance or related role focused on analytics.
- Highly analytical with ability to effectively present data and the underlying story to management.
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and scenario analyses.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
