About the Role:
In this role, you will perform accounting duties in various departments. Responsibilities include:
- Providing, analyzing, and communicating accounting information from multiple systems, reports, and processes.
- Preparing internal and external financial data and reporting.
- Preparing account reconciliations.
- Completing required standard entries and monthly closing routines.
- Identifying, researching, and correcting account discrepancies.
- Assisting or preparing various financial, regulatory, and management reports for internal and external audiences.
- Assisting or preparing audit schedules; compiling data for preparation.
- Maintaining and updating accounting procedures for areas/tasks of responsibility.
- Analyzing data and/or situations to obtain direction/answers.
- Assisting with projects and project support as directed.
- Ensuring compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function.
- Following all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completing all required training.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations.
- Coaching, mentoring, or training others as a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrating and fostering the Umpqua corporate culture.
- Taking personal initiative and being a positive example for others to emulate.

- Performing other duties as assigned.
About You:
Minimum qualifications include:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Less than 2 years of relevant work experience or college internship.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products and/or tax software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and internal controls.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and execute assigned tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Workstyle: Fully onsite.
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $19.73 to $27.00 and is dependent upon various non-discriminatory factors. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
