Position Summary
The overall responsibility of the EMR Support Analyst is to serve as the organization’s EMR application(s) expert. This position will liaise between Root EMR vendors and staff. This position will make and test clinic-specific configuration changes, support workflows, end-users and provide technical support for testing new functionality.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
Actual pay will be determined based on several factors. These may include education, work experience and in some instances, certifications. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
Essential Functions
- Utilize expert knowledge and experience in Epic applications to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Epic system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address the unique needs of Root Center and our patients.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Epic applications, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to clinical services.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to optimize the functionality and efficiency of our EMR infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for end-users to ensure proper utilization of EMR applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in EMR applications to continually enhance our system and processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for colleagues and end-users regarding EMR applications.
- Participate in project planning and implementation of updates, upgrades, and new features within EMR infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including technical and non-technical individuals, to provide support and training on EMR applications.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing system support of EPIC products, SAMMS preferred.
- Experience providing support and training to end users of EMR products, specifically EPIC.
- Experience with report writing and development in Power BI, SQL, and/or Crystal Reports preferred.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and non-technical, user-friendly terms.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing skills.
- Experience with the development of quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of CQI theory and practice, with specific skill sets in organizing and facilitating quality improvement projects. Additional experience commensurate with knowledge and previous roles in facilitating CQI.
