SUMMARY: The Senior Analyst will support the Finance/Accounting team in the continued development of a robust control environment and deliver accurate, timely and high-quality financial information. The candidate will be responsible for in-depth knowledge of the company’s financial system; extracting and analyzing data from the system in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and period-end close activities. This is an onsite position (4 days/week, Fridays remote) located in Lewisville, TX.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work to ensure the accuracy of financial data used for financial reporting
- Own reporting of key financial data used for operational decision-making
- Provide general financial data support to other key stakeholders within the finance team
- Strengthen and help implement an analytics environment, and ensure financial dashboards are updated in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner.
- Provide anexceptional level of support during month-end close, forecast, and plan cycles, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Resolve and analyze the full impact of system issues.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation and assist in ensuring the integrity of data through the company’s financial systems (i.e. Lawson M3).
- Provide working capital analysis and help drive operational efficiencies through the development, analysis and insight into key productivity and efficiency measures
- Participate in software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems
- 3+ years of experience within Finance and/or Financial Systems
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, financial planning, and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to allow for mutual understanding of business needs and development of cooperative solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, and adapt quickly to change
- Advanced Excel skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in SQL with 2+ years of experience working with large data sets
- Experience with analytic and reporting toolsets (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) BONUS
