Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the overall financial health of the organization. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to provide insights and support in budgeting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Conduct budget preparation and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Assist in governmental accounting processes as required by regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in their professional development.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, budgeting, general ledger reconciliation, and financial report writing.
- Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices, including SOX compliance.
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
