What does a Financial Reporting Analyst do at Swire Coca-Cola?The Financial Reporting Analyst role provides financial information to various internal and external stakeholders by compiling and analyzing account information; analyzing accounting options; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other special and ad-hoc reports; reconciling discrepancies; auditing documents; preparing and recommending policies and procedures; supporting other Finance and Accounting leaders and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Summarize current financial results for stakeholders by collecting information, preparing financial reporting, performing ad-hoc analysis, and developing other special reports
- Contribute to the production of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures
- Maintain documentation related to financial reporting processes and procedures.
- Perform month-end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries by compiling support and analyzing account information.
- Analyze current and past trends in financial performance including key performance indicators. Highlight, research, and explain unexpected variances
- Support CAPEX planning, audits, and fixed asset accounting; create and manage WBS elements
- Prepares certain corporate level payments by verifying documentation, determining account coding, and requesting disbursements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for reporting purposes
- Identify and implement process improvements including financial reporting tool enhancement and automation opportunities
- Demonstrate ownership of ad-hoc requests and analysis to drive improved decision making and financial performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, or related discipline required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- 2+ years financial reporting experience required
- 4+ years Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with orientation on results
- Experience with extract and analyze large data files and manipulate them into reports for analysis
- Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools. SAP experience (preferred)
