Details:
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, coding, and accounts receivable for home health and hospice services as well as room and board payments.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations related to home health and hospice billing and reimbursement.
- Analyze and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Days in Accounts Receivable (AR), Denial Rates, Bad Debt, and Collections.
- Implement and oversee systems and processes that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall revenue cycle performance.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation supporting billing processes.
- Manage payer relationships and resolve escalated claims issues.
- Provide training and leadership to the billing and collections teams (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
- Drive the implementation of best practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in revenue cycle management, with specific experience in home health and hospice settings.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial reimbursement regulations for home health and hospice services.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
- Proficient in Waystar, Inovalon, and Matrixcare (Brightree) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with multiple location billing across multiple states is preferred.
