Our company is looking to hire an Accountant who will work under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accounting records of the Agency and for internal and external financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for preparing semi-monthly providers (medical, dental, optometry, and radiology) payroll, which includes printing of electronic providers' time sheets from the ADP system, assigning of encounters to the time sheets, obtaining providers signatures and approval of the Chief Medical Officer.
2. Responsible for printing encounter statistics from NextGen in order to update the monthly encounters report by provider, by payer coder and by site. This report details actual monthly visit trends with budget comparison for management use.
3. Responsible for preparing monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts balances. Any discrepancies are investigated and resolved on a timely basis.
4. Responsible for maintaining and updating payroll spreadsheet on staff and provider earnings and hours worked (FTE) by employee, by department, and by site every pay period. The earnings reports are also reconciled with the general ledger on a monthly basis. Payroll data is used extensively to prepare various government reports, such as UDS, OSHPD, and Medicare FQHC Cost reconciliations.
5. Responsible for compiling and timely submitting of standardized quarterly report to the City as a condition for rent-free use of the city-owned Park health center. The report describes building maintenance and upkeep, program services offered and patient utilization by poverty level and by race.
6. Responsible for assisting in preparation of the annual Medicare FQHC reports for all clinics.
7. Responsible for assisting in preparing the staffing and utilization sections of the annual
I-JDS and OSHPD
8. Responsible for assisting in annual fixed.
