About the role:
Provides accounting for the IT Aviation program. Detects and analyzes trends and irregularities in the S2P and T&E audit programs. Conducts complex audit case reviews and escalations. Works collaboratively with S2P, Payroll, Internal Audit, Legal, and the Global Corporate Card and Travel Teams to provide reporting/analysis and to resolve escalations.
What you will do:
- Accounting and Program Oversight: Oversee accounting aspects of the IT Aviation program, including supplier relations, reporting, and executive communication, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with leadership.
- Confidential Expense Management: Input and manage travel expenses for executive leadership with a high degree of confidentiality, maintaining discretion and accuracy in financial records.
- Expertise in Policies and Functions: Demonstrate an expert understanding of Gartner's policies, S2P functions and programs, global expense and travel programs, and audit software to ensure comprehensive compliance and efficient operations.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead a team by sharing expert knowledge, providing mentorship, and delivering training sessions to elevate the capabilities of team members.
- Auditing and Compliance Oversight: Act as the lead auditor for reports sent to the processor queue, ensuring meticulous review and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Communication Template Management: Manage communication templates within audit software to ensure they are updated with the latest policy revisions, facilitating effective communication.
- Process Improvement and Standardization: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and globalization, defining and developing new processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Policy Compliance Review: Review travel and expenses to determine compliance with policies, utilizing audit escalation workflows when necessary to address non-compliance.
- Investigation and Resolution: Utilize knowledge of internal policies and initiatives, such as Legal, Travel & Expense, and Procure to Pay, to investigate and resolve complex audit cases and inquiries.
- Issue Resolution and Collaboration: Resolve and respond to issues or inquiries related to S2P, travel, and expenses, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaboration with Internal Audit: Work closely with the Internal Audit team to investigate instances of fraud and policy noncompliance, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract and generate reports from core systems to analyze data, supporting inquiries and escalations related to travel and expenses.
What you will need:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

- Strong emphasis on industry-specific expertise and knowledge.
- Possesses advanced technical expertise and domain knowledge.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a diverse audience at various levels while considering cultural differences.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. Ability to learn new tools quickly.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,400 USD - 86,940 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
