Your Role With Us:
A Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a trusted advisor and thought partner for Senior/Executive Leadership at Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics. This role aims to ensure people strategy meets the unique needs of each business line. HRBPs identify, support, and execute innovative and inclusive workforce solutions. This role is also positioned to provide business insight and perspective to teams across HR to create competitive practices, processes, and/or policies to support organizational strategy. The deliverable of the HRBP role is to ensure innovative and sustainable people strategies are realized, designed, and implemented. The HRBP role is about recognizing talent in people and relating to diverse stakeholders at all levels. HRBPs are considered an extension of the business leaders they support.
Attributes of an HRBP include a willingness to be an independent thinker while collaborating across the system, communicating simple and complex ideas. People in this role demonstrate a high-level combination of emotional intelligence, business acumen, and drive.
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the following functions:
- Develop relationships with business leaders to provide expert guidance on organizational people-related strategy and execution.
- Identify business strategy and opportunities to increase alignment with business strategy by helping leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, culture, structures, and processes.
- Serve as an internal coach and trusted advisor for assigned executives and leadership teams on strategic workforce matters.
- Support leaders as they deploy people strategy processes, practices, and/or policies within their business. This also includes partnering with leaders on organizational design and structure.
- Partner with HR leadership and functional teams to inform the design of HR strategy and solutions to meet the needs of organizational mission and strategic priorities.
- Use data (internal & external) and metrics to identify trends, anticipate business needs, and implement action plans focused on workforce solutions, employee experience, and organizational health.
- Partner with business leadership to apply succession planning and leadership development practices.
- Guide leaders on decisions that require high levels of judgment that align with organizational priorities, while minimizing risk related to regulatory and legal compliance.
- Ensure a deep focus on organizational continuous improvement.

Background/Expertise:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; preference related to business, HR, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of HR, business, or consulting experience.
Special knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Demonstrated analytic experience.
- Proven experience leading and/or deploying strategy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Required. Strong preference for advanced Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of HR functional areas such as organizational development, engagement, leadership development, talent acquisition, employee relations, or total rewards.
- Ability to develop and customize comprehensive people strategy for a division or system.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and present complex data in an actionable way for multiple levels to apply.
- Demonstrate tact and diplomacy skills to rapidly build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate simple and complex ideas verbally and in written form.
- Demonstrate leadership and strategic capability.
