SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate month-end closes and written analysis.
- Responsible for the Quarterly and Annual Consolidated and Subsidiary financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform comprehensive research on new GAAP pronouncements and prepare policies and procedures.
- Assist with financial reports and presentations for board meetings and other executive presentations.
- Oversee the coordination, preparation, and review of required audit schedules.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and internal controls.
- Provide direction on system changes needed for reorganizations.
- Work closely and cross-train with the Inventory Control department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage staff of Accountants and provide developmental and cross-training opportunities.
- Assist with the training and development of training material.
- Demonstrate a culture of continuous process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. MBA is a plus.
- 8 years of prior accounting and public accounting experience and 3-5 years of management experience required.
- Experience with implementing new accounting pronouncements required.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- This position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.
