Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is a 182-bed treatment facility, conveniently located in beautiful Oakland Park, FL that specializes in the successful treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues for youth, adults and seniors. We offer a continuum of mental health and addiction services through an integrated system of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient and ECT programs. Our overall goal is to provide the highest quality treatment possible for drug abuse and mental health issues in order to help our patients achieve good health and long-term sobriety. Fort Lauderdale BH is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We are pleased to announce the following available position:
Chart Auditor (RN) – Monday - Friday
The Chart Auditor (RN) reporting to the Director of Performance Improvement will perform duties and functions to comply with performance improvement initiatives primarily through medical chart audits, assist with conducting tracers to monitor compliance with performance measures, schedule and assist with committee and sub-committee preparation. Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Performance Improvement Director.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, BLS.
Additional Requirements:
- CPR certification and successful completion of CPI within 30 days of employment.
- Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Focus on providing high quality patient care.
Physical Requirements:
- Move efficiently enough to meet the needs of several patients and/or move rapidly to provide timely intervention of patient aggression.
- Able to stand, sit and walk during work shift.
- Able to hear spoken words in a normal vocal range, respond to signals, alarms, codes or other displays.
- Recognize vocal intonation that signal changes in acuity. Able to bend, reach and stoop.
- Must write legibly so as to accurately convey information. Able to read instructions and complete documentation and reports. Restrain, as part of a team, an aggressive patient in a safe and therapeutic manner.
- Able to lift, position or move patients in order to perform (or assist in) searches and procedures, and/or administer injections.
- Perform activities requiring manual dexterity. Able to lift 30lbs.
