MPS is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Hardware/Software/Technology space looking for their next challenge, and capable of preparing the company for the institutional capital markets and rapid growth and expansion across the globe.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager has a demonstrated track record of leading and assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial data to summarize, report and forecast the organization’s financial position. You’ll have proven expertise in leading accounting teams, collaborating across all levels of the organization, leading process and system changes, leading projects, and continuously improving processes.
In this role you will:
- Serve as the accounting lead to drive the day-to-day accounting functions including G/L, accruals, inventory, and reconciliations.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Oversee the AR, AP, Fixed Asset, and collections functions.
- Support the financial reporting, budgeting, and forecast processes.
- Ensure that proper general ledger supporting documentation with adequate explanation is created.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed and records are retained such that testing of compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls is adequate and complete.
- Take a lead role in updating and improving accounting systems and processes.
- Assisting with interim and year-end financial audits.
- Assist with the organization’s compliance with federal, SALT and international tax and regulatory matters.
- Cross-training in full range of accounting functions and act as back up for those functions as necessary.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Master’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Active CPA license is required.
- 8+ years relevant accounting experience required, preferably at publicly-traded companies.
- 4+ years Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Sage Intacct experience is required.
